Pricing and payment can be a huge deciding factor when looking for a nanny. In exchange for a nanny match through Nestled, the cost is a one time finders fee. Below are some FAQ's regarding payment, and a little bit about how payment amount is determined

Once you have been officially matched with a nanny, you will pay a finders fee in exchange for the match services. It is usually paid via invoice through square. You will not be billed unless you are officially matched. Even if you go through the match process and decide to not proceed with a nanny, you will not be charged since you did not finish the process.

How do we pay the finders fee?

The finders fee is a one time payment in exchange for your nanny. It is quoted based on your needs (hours per week, days per week, amount of children care is needed for, and position length. The finders fee for a part time nanny (below 25 hours a week) ranges in between $200-$350. The finders fee for a nanny full time (above 25 hours) ranges in between $350-$600.

How much is the finders fee?

Yes! Nestled understands almost all families seek nannies due to their work schedule. If you or your spouse work in a career that is in education, healthcare, first responders, government, or military, we offer a 20% discount from your finders fee.

How does our nanny get paid?

Nestled is a third party that helps you match with a nanny. We do not pay your nanny and unlike an agency, do not take a portion of your nannies pay. You pay your nanny directly however you decide. Nestled does not provide guidance on nanny classification or payment method (W-2, 1099, or other). Families are responsible for reviewing and complying with all applicable state and IRS regulations when determining how to pay their nanny.

What is the typically hourly pay for a nanny?

This is our most asked question from families. All nannies that work with Nestled are professional nannies with years of hands on experience. Each nanny has a baseline of what they usually charge that lines up with their values, experience and child development approach. Each nanny typically ranges between $20-$25 an hour. Some may range a little lower, and some may range higher. When incorporating your nanny into a budget, look between 20-25 an hour to know what to expect.
